When it comes to people’s entire life savings, the building industry expects home buyers to wing it, make a couple of mistakes, and be okay with the final result.

If Gemma had just asked the sales consultant to add her dream ensuite and walk in robe, they would have done it the easiest way, and that would have been to add a lot more area to the plan which could have set her back well over $7,000.
However, we kept costs low by utilising the wasted space in her design and capitalising on the existing brickwork heights and roof lines to add an extra 500mm of space into her Ensuite, without needing to reduce the ceiling height or add bulkheads.
So by following our advice, Gemma got everything she wanted for a grand total of only $1,444.
The best part is, when we checked in on Gemma’s progress, she said she couldn’t be happier with her builder. The builder is stoked too because Gemma was so prepared for prestart, which made it fast, simple and easy. Plus, there weren’t any unexpected budget blowouts.
